Reverend Leroy D. Evans Jr. is a native of Brooklyn, New York, a man of God who was led at an early age to motivate and inspire generations of people. He is the Son of Bishop Leroy and Veala Evans Sr. He accepted Christ at the age of 13 and was a faithful member of Second Calvary Baptist Church in Brooklyn, New York.  

Eager to serve his country, Reverend Evans joined the United States Army on September 16, 1981 (age 17) where he served for over 23 years.  He was blessed to serve in many great capacities to include being a United States Army Drill Sergeant and retired as a Unit First Sergeant in February 2004.  While serving in the military he had assignments in Heidelberg, Germany, Fort Hood Texas, Fort Riley Kansas, Wiesbaden Germany, Gebelstadt Germany, and Fort Lee, Virginia. He is also a Gulf War Veteran who obtained his General Educational Development (GED) and Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Management while serving his country. 

Following his tenure in the United States Army, Reverend Evans retired from the Federal Government, where he was employed by the Army Materiel Command, and Army Logistics University (ALU). 

In addition to serving in various capacities of leadership throughout the years, Reverend Evans was also involved in a variety of ministerial endeavors that prepared him to embrace lost souls and minister to the whole individual regardless of challenges or limitations.  He was licensed to preach in 2007, and received his Master of Divinity from the Samuel Dewitt Proctor, School of Theology at Virginia Union University in 2010. 

 As a devoted member of Metropolitan Baptist Church for over 25 years, Reverend Evans served in several capacities to include president of the Military Ministry, Marriage Ministry and has been instrumental in working with the Prison Ministry.  He has taught youth and adult bible study and a member of Metropolitan Baptist Church Christian Education team. He has also facilitated training for men fellowship. 

Reverend Evans is currently married to his wonderful bride Kimberly Evans and they are blessed with 4 children; Quentin, Braxton, Justice and Alisha along with 3 bonus children Kewana, Kawana and Terrance. Kimberly and Leroy are blessed with eight grandchildren.

Reverend Evans has many favorites throughout the Bible, but Ephesians 3:20, KJV: “Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worked in us,” is where he desires to rest his heart on for such a time as this.
